Ruh-ul-Qudus will continue to help Muslims

قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ لِحَسَّانَ ‏”‏ إِنَّ رُوحَ الْقُدُسِ لاَ يَزَالُ يُؤَيِّدُكَ مَا نَافَحْتَ عَنِ اللَّهِ وَرَسُولِهِ

‘A’isha said:

I heard Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying to Hassan: Verily Ruh-ul-Qudus would continue to help you so long as you put up a defence on behalf of Allah and His Messenger.

Sahaba got Wahi while burying Muhammad (SAW)

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم تُوُفِّيَ يَوْمَ الاِثْنَيْنِ وَدُفِنَ يَوْمَ الثُّلاَثَاءِ وَصَلَّى النَّاسُ عَلَيْهِ أَفْذَاذًا لاَ يَؤُمُّهُمْ أَحَدٌ . فَقَالَ نَاسٌ يُدْفَنُ عِنْدَ الْمِنْبَرِ . وَقَالَ آخَرُونَ يُدْفَنُ بِالْبَقِيعِ . فَجَاءَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ” مَا دُفِنَ نَبِيٌّ قَطُّ إِلاَّ فِي مَكَانِهِ الَّذِي تُوُفِّيَ فِيهِ ” . فَحُفِرَ لَهُ فِيهِ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عِنْدَ غُسْلِهِ أَرَادُوا نَزْعَ قَمِيصِهِ فَسَمِعُوا صَوْتًا يَقُولُ لاَ
تَنْزِعُوا الْقَمِيصَ فَلَمْ يُنْزَعِ الْقَمِيصُ وَغُسِّلَ وَهُوَ عَلَيْهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم .

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, died on Monday and was buried on Tuesday and people prayed over him individually with no one leading them. Some people said that he would be buried near the minbar, and others said that he would be buried in al-Baqi. Abu Bakr as-Siddiq came and said, “I heard the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘No prophet was ever buried except in the place where he died.’ “So a grave was dug for him there. When he was about to be washed they wished to take off his shirt but they heard a voice saying “Don’t take off his shirt,” so they did not take off his shirt and he was washed with it on, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

Umar (RA) receives information about a battle in another Province through Wahi

“A slave-girl of Abu Bakr was pregnant. He said: It was revealed to me that it would be a girl. And she gave birth to a girl.“

Abu Bakr (RA) receives Wahi

 [ ص: 176 ] قالا : خرج عمر بن الخطاب ، رضي الله عنه ، يوم الجمعة إلى الصلاة فصعد المنبر ثم صاح : يا سارية بن زنيم الجبل ! يا سارية بن زنيم الجبل

“While Umar was delivering a Khutbah from the Minbar (pulpit), he began to abruptly shout, “O, Sariyah! Move to the mountain! O, Sariyah! Move to the mountain!”

Abu Dawud receives Wahi

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، قَالَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنِ الْكَىِّ فَاكْتَوَيْنَا فَمَا أَفْلَحْنَ وَلاَ أَنْجَحْنَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَكَانَ يَسْمَعُ تَسْلِيمَ الْمَلاَئِكَةِ فَلَمَّا اكْتَوَى انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ فَلَمَّا تَرَكَ رَجَعَ إِلَيْهِ

Narrated Imran ibn Husayn:

The Prophet (ﷺ) forbade to cauterize; we cauterized but they (cauterization) did not benefit us, nor proved useful for us.

Abu Dawud said: He used to hear the salutation of the angels: When he c78auterized, it stopped. When he abandoned, it returned to him.

More Wahi

Ibn Asikir narrated in his Tarikh That Sa id ibn Sinan said:

I came to Jerusalem intending to pray I entered the Masjid and, while I was praying, I heard someone with two wings who had turned to me, murmuring, ‘Glory to the One who is perpetual and eternal. Glory to the One who is Living and Self-subsistent. Glory to the Holy King Glory to the Lord of the Angels and the spirit. Glory to Allah and may He be praised Glory to the Most Exalted. Blessed and Exalted is He Then another person came murmuring the same thing. Then another one after that one. They were saying it to each other until they filled the Masjid. One of them came close to me and said, “O son of Adam’ I said, “Yes” He said, ‘Do not fear; they are Angels.’

Ibn Taymiyyah(RA) says the Aqaid(Beliefs) of the Ahlus Sunnah is to believe in the Miracles of the Awliyah(Saints) and their Mukashaafat.

– وأنواع القدرة .

From among the Usool of Ahlus Sunnah is to:

(Tasdeeq bi Karaamaat al Awliyah) To Attest, to Testify, To believe in the Miracle of the Saints

(Wal Mukhashaafat) To Attest, to Testify, To believe in the Kashf(Visions) of the Saints

From the principle of the Ahle Sunnah is the affirmation of the miracles of the awliya(tasdeeq bi Karaamaat al Awliyah), and that which Allah performs at their hands of supernatural events from the types of science, visions (wal Mukhashaafat), types of qadr (destiny), and influences/effects”

Ibn Taymiyyah – Calls Umar ra the cheif of the mulhimmeena(those who get ilham) wal mukhatabeena(those who allah does khitab to aka talk to) .

فإن سيد المحدثين والمخاطبين الملهمين

من هذه الأمة . هو عمر بن الخطاب

Surely the Leader of the Muhadatheen(Those whom Allah talks to) wal Makhatabeeen(And those Allah does Khitab* to ) al Mulhimeena(those whom Allah does Ilham to) from among this Ummah is Umar bin Khattab

*Khitab means Speech, it is related to the word Khutbah

This shows that Ibn Taymiyyah believed that people in the ummah got Ilham and khitab from Allah(SWT) after Rasoolullah(SAW)

عبد الله بن عمر قال : كان عمر يقول القول فننتظر متى يقع

وقد قال رسول اللہ ﷺ : « إنه كـان في الأمم محدثون ، فإن يكن في هذه الأمة فهو عمر بن الخطاب ، (۳)

وهذا الحديث أصل في جواز كرامات الأولياء

Rasulullah(SAW) said that there is an Imam of Muhaditheen then inside the Ummah it would be Umar bin Khattab(RA) and this hadith is the basis for the idea of Karaamaat-e-Awliyah(Miracle of Saints)

al-I’tiqad wa’l-Hidayah ila Sabil ar-Rashad

Imam Al Ayni(RH) in Ummadatul Qari – that the hadith of umar ra being a muhaddaas has to do will awliyah karmaat and these karmaat wont end till day of judgment

وهي منزلة جليلة من منازل الأولياء، وقيل: المحدث هو من يجري الصواب على لسانه، وقيل: من تكلمه الملائكة.

And it is a great position from the homes of the saints, and it was said: the muhaddith is the one who is correct on his tongue, and it was said: the one whom the angels speak to.
ذلك على سبيل التوقع، وقد وقع ذلك من

بحمد الله تعالى.

This is as expected, and it happened from
Thank God Almighty.

وفيه: كرامة الأولياء وأنها لا تنقطع إلى يوم الدين.

And in it: the karamaat(miracles) of the saints and that it does not break until the Day of Judgment.

Umdat Ul Qari Fi Sharh Sahih Bukhari by Imam Al Ayni (RH)

‎ ‎قع من ذلك لغيره ما لا يحمى ذكره .
