Darud is Salawat:
ٱللَّٰهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ ٱللَّٰهُمَّ بَارِكْ عَلَىٰ مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَىٰ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَعَلَىٰ آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ
ʾAllāhumma ṣalli ʿalā Muḥammadin wa ʿalā ʾāli Muḥammadin kamā ṣallayta ʿalā ʾIbrāhīma wa ʿalā ʾāli ʾIbrāhīma ʾinnaka Ḥamīdun Majīdun ʾAllāhumma bārik ʿalā Muḥammadin wa ʿalā ʾāli Muḥammadin kamā bārakta ʿalā ʾIbrāhīma wa ʿalā ʾāli ʾIbrāhīma ʾinnaka Ḥamīdun Majīdun
Allah, sanctify Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have sanctified Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious. Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as you have blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. Truly, You are Praiseworthy and Glorious
Concept is even in the Quran:
Quran 33:56 states:
إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ وَمَلَـٰٓٮِٕڪَتَهُ ۥ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى ٱلنَّبِىِّۚ يَـٰٓأَيُّہَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُواْ صَلُّواْ عَلَيۡهِ وَسَلِّمُواْ تَسۡلِيمًا
“Truly God and His angels invoke blessings upon the Prophet. O you who believe! Invoke blessings upon him, and greetings of peace!”
Guru Nanak – Attire of a Muslim and actions of one too:
Now here Baba nanak sahib is discussing with hajiz and maulvis ,and nobody can recognize that he is not a Muslim? He is praying in mosque with them sleeping in mosque but nobody is able to tell, that he is not Muslim? Even though non Muslims are not allowed in mecca and masjid, he is seen praying so that proves he was a Muslim.
The word mattress in Punjabi used is Musalla, a Mussala is the prayer mat that Muslims use to pray on.
Now here Bawa Nanak sahib went Baghdad from Makkah and stayed. He was with his companion Mardana. He called for Namaz (muslim prayer) listening to adhan from which the world became quiet, and the Pir even asked him from which category this holy man belongs to and Mardana his companion told he believes in one God . This shows he prayed namaz after adhan, gave the same definition what Muslims give, also did haj which only muslims do, prayed in mosques in mecca this all proves he was a Muslim.
Praise of Qur’an in GGS:
The Translation on the Left is more authentic. You can tell there is serious intellectual dishonesty with kitab quran being tanslate as Qur’an and Bible even though Sikh scholars admit there were only 2 religions at that time, Hinduism and Islam. Nanak would not have known about the Bible but besides the point, everyone witha clear. Anytime the words kitab kurana appear in these western translation they always insert bible like you may have a statement like you may pray five times a day and paṛėh kaṯeb kurāṇā. and western sikh scholars will deceptigely translate that as ; you may read the Bible and the Koran.
