Ibn Khaldun’s criticism of this hadithIbn Khaldun’s criticism of this hadith

Ad dahabi He is reliable in his recitation of Quran. But not in traditions he is a truthful person who commits error in judgement.

He has been considered a truthful person but his memory was weak

Muhammad bin saad the writer of a waqidi says he is trustworthy but he commits error in hadiths

Yahya al-Qattan said: “I have never found a man named ‘Asim who did not have a bad memory.

Ibn ‘Ulayyah: discussed ‘Asim and said: “Everyone named ‘Asim has a bad memory.

Ahmad b. Hanbal said about ‘Asim that he was a pious man, a reader of the Qur’an, and a good and reliable person, but that al-A’mash had a better memory than he. Shu’bah used to prefer al-A’mash to him for establishing (the soundness of) traditions.

Ahmad b. Hanbal said about ‘Asim that he was a pious man, a reader of the Qur’an, and a good and reliable person, but that al-A’mash had a better memory than he according to kufis. . Shu’bah used to prefer al-A’mash to him for establishing traditions.

Second Hadith

Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas’ud:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: If only one day of this world remained. Allah would lengthen that day (according to the version of Za’idah), till He raised up in it a man who belongs to me or to my family whose father’s name is the same as my father’s, who will fill the earth with equity and justice as it has been filled with oppression and tyranny (according to the version of Fitr). Sufyan’s version says: The world will not pass away before the Arabs are ruled by a man of my family whose name will be the same as mine.

Abu Dawud said: The version of ‘Umar and Abu Bakr is the same as that of Sufyan.

Hadith is considered Hassan sahih by albani which is completely wrong cuz there were faulty narrators and shi’tes as well.

There is a narrator in Hadith عمرو بن عبيد his narrations are matrook and Hadith scholars of past has said do not take from him he was a liar.

For example :

Abu Bakr al-Bayhaqi: abandoned, and once: we do not use it as evidence

Abu Hatim Al-Razi: The hadith is abandoned

Abu Hatim bin Habban Al-Basti: He insults the Companions, and lies in hadith, and they are not intentional.

Abu Dawad al-Sijistani: his weakness

Ahmad bin Hanbal: He is not qualified to narrate from him

Ahmad bin Shuaib al-Nasa’i: He is not trustworthy and his hadith is not written, and once: The hadith is abandoned.

Ayoub bin Abi Tamimah Al-Sakhtiani: A liar

Ibn Hajar Al-Asqalani: The well-known Mu’tazilite was a caller to his heresy. A group accused him of it even though he was a worshiper

Hammad bin Salamah Al-Basri: I saw that on Friday people were praying towards the qiblah while he was turning away from it.

Saeed bin Amer Al-Dabai: He was one of the sinful liars

Sufyan bin Uyaynah: an innovator

Shubah bin Al-Hajjaj: He narrated two hadiths from him, then left it

Asim bin Suleiman Al-Ahwal: An innovator

Amr bin Ali Al Falas: Matrouk al-hadith, the owner of innovation

Quraish bin Anas Al-Ansari: A handful of dust is better than it

Muhammad bin Saad, the writer of al-Waqidi: Mu’tazilites are nothing in the hadith

Muhammad bin Abdullah Al-Makhrami: He was a caller to his heresy

The compilers of Tahrir Taqreeb Al-Tahdheeb: Matrouk Al-Hadith, by the consensus of the majority of the people of Al-Jarh and Al- Ta’deel

Matar bin Tahman Al-Warraq: He meets me and swears to me about the hadith, so I know that he is a liar, and once: By God, I do not believe him in anything

Yahya bin Saeed Al-Qattan: He left him

Yahya bin Moin: He is nothing, and once: Do not write his hadith, and once: He was a caller to his heresy

Yaqoub bin Sufyan Al-Fasawi: A lie

Some scholars consider him thiqah and truthfull and along with that they said narrations are arguable

Ahmed bin Hanbal: a confusing person, and blamed him for his exaggeration in Shiism with his austerity and worship

Then there is one more narrator who was a truthfull person but not consider reliable in his narrations asim bin abi nujud

Third Hadith

Narrated AbuSa’id al-Khudri:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said: The Mahdi will be of my stock, and will have a broad forehead a prominent nose. He will fill the earth will equity and justice as it was filled with oppression and tyranny, and he will rule for seven years.
